Thursday, November 15, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.

Rubloff Auditorium, The Art Institute of Chicago
Tickets:  $15
Reservation Deadline: November 1, 2007

Abelardo Morell is professor of photography at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. This well-known, Cuban-born photographer uses basic techniques to produce new and unexpected images. New York art critic Richard Woodward has said, "Not only has he taken startling pictures unlike any others in the history of photography, but he has done so within the confines of a 'straight' aesthetic, without resorting to the stale tricks of surrealist collage or computerized postmodern manipulation."
