Individuals living 100 miles or more outside of Chicago are eligible for 10% off Member, Member Plus, and Premium Member levels.

Sustaining Fellows Levels

The Sustaining Fellows are the Art Institute’s premier giving society providing annual unrestricted support. For information, please call (312) 499-4109.
Sustaining Fellows
  • $2,500–$4,999
    Please note: The Sustaining Fellows entry level will increase from $1500 to $2500 on July 1, 2009. Join or renew today at $1500 and save.
  • Free, unlimited admission for 8 adults to the museum and to special exhibitions
  • Fellows—Debuts Fall 2009!
    Access the new private Sustaining Fellows lounge for relaxation, featuring intimate programming with curatorial and museum staff. Amenities include private restrooms and check room, light hospitality, and the camaraderie of other Sustaining Fellows. Exhibition catalogues, Art Institute publications, and leading art journals and magazines will also be available for your reading pleasure.

    • A curator-led, behind the scenes tour of a specialized area of the museum

Gold Sustaining Fellows
  • $25,000–$49,999
  • Invitations to exclusive Gold level events including:
    • A private tour of the museum with the director
    • An exclusive private tour of a special exhibition with the organizing curator
    • Opportunities to join the director at private luncheons and dinners with visiting artists, scholars, and distinguished guests.
  • Includes all benefits of Silver level and below.
Platinum Sustaining Fellows
  • $50,000 and above
  • Invitations to exclusive Platinum level events including:
    • All exhibition openings and special events
    • Tour of a private collection with the director
    • Private dinner with director and the chairman of the board
