The Highland Park Community Associates was organized in 1959. Founding members resided in Highland Park, but the current membership of over 150 is also drawn from many surrounding communities.
Exhibitions and lectures at the Art Institute of Chicago are supplemented by a variety of art appreciation programs, including gallery walks within the museum, and tours of other museums and collections, plus local events. All programs are coordinated through the Art Institute.
