Unveiled: Cy Twombly July 2009
On Wednesday, July 15, the Evening Associates hosted the amazing kick-off party at the Modern Wing for its new event series, Unveiled. With private access, guests enjoyed the Modern Wing’s premiere exhibition Cy Twombly: The Natural World, Selected Works 20002007 mixed with sizzling-hot summer sounds from a local DJ, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres in the Modern Wing’s Griffin Court and Pritzker Garden. The event also featured a rare screening of the film The Outrage by late filmmaker Marc Karlin. |

International Vintage Poster Fair: Visit the World in One Evening March 2009
Once again, the Evening Associates landed in the Chicago Cultural Center to host the special preview of the annual International Vintage Poster Fair. The event features the only show in the world dedicated solely to original vintage posters, with over 25 dealers offering more than 25,000 original posters. |

Edvard Munch: What Makes You Scream February 2009
On February 12, 2009, the Evening Associates gathered to enjoy a special members-only reception and preview of Edvard Munch: Influence, Anxiety, and Myth. This education event included a special presentation on Edvard Munch, the man behind The Scream and other iconic images of modern anxiety and despair. Special prizes were given to the most creative scream inducer. |

Farewell to Hopper and Homer: A Last Look at two Significant Exhibitions May 8, 2008
On May 8, 2008, Evening Associates celebrated the closing of the highly acclaimed exhibitions Edward Hopper and Watercolors by Winslow Homer: The Color of Light in grand fashion. Exhibition viewings and a lecture on Watercolors by Winslow Homer were followed by a celebratory "farewell" toast in the museum's Garden Restaurant. |

Glamorama: The Good, The Bad, and The Beautiful August 24, 2007
On August 24, over 2,500 people gathered at the Chicago Theatre for Macy's annual Glamorama, a night of fashion and music. That year’s theme, "The Good, The Bad and The Beautiful," featured MuzikMafia with Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, and Cowboy Troy. The fashionable crowd continued celebrating in Wild West style at Macy’s on State Street’s unbeatable post-party. This year’s Glamorama raised $400,000 for the Art Institute of Chicago’s Auxiliary and Evening Associate boards, for a total of $2.5 million over the past nine years. |

A Signature Affair July 11, 2007
On July 11, the Evening Associates hosted "A Signature Affair." Over 200 attendees visited Valerie Carberry Gallery, Richard Gray Gallery, and KN Gallery on the 25th Floor of the John Hancock Center. The party then continued upstairs at our own private affair in the Signature Room, where guests enjoyed fireworks and bid on great auction items.
