BHA: Bibliography of the History of Art

BHA covers European and American architecture, painting, sculpture, drawing, prints and decorative arts, industrial design, folk art, photography, and performance art from late antiquity (4th C. AD) to the present. BHA includes and extends the coverage of its two predecessor art indexes: Répertoire d'Art et d'Archéologie (RAA, 1973-1989) and International Repertory of the Literature of Art (RILA, 1975-1989). Abstracts are in French or English.

Types of material covered: Books, conference proceedings, dissertations, exhibition and dealer's catalogs, essays within collected works, and articles from over 4,000 current and ceased journals.

Dates covered: 1973 to the present. For earlier coverage see the Répertoire d'Art et d'Archéologie (Indexes Z5937 .R4, 1910-1972).

Bulletin of the Art Institute of Chicago
