Ages 6–12 with an adult
Advance registration is required.
Family Workshops provide age-appropriate experiences for families visiting the museum. Workshop themes change biweekly, and studio projects range from making suits of armor to painting in the Impressionist style, from carving clay reliefs to printing with inks on fabric. Special exhibitions, including illustration, architecture, and photography exhibitions, are often highlighted in these workshops.
Family Workshops meet selected Saturday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:30 from October through May (with select dates June–September).
Explore our Family Calendar to find programs for the day of your visit.
After you’ve chosen the dates you’d like to attend, e-mail familyprograms@artic.edu or call (312) 857-7161. We will e-mail or call back to confirm the registration.
