Summer Hours
Monday–Wednesday, 10:30–5:00
Thursday–Friday, 10:30–9:00 
(Free 5:00–9:00)
Saturday–Sunday, 10:00–5:00

Remember, admission to the Ryan Education Center is always free! Admission to the museum is free for kids under 14.

Museum Passport

At the Chicago Public Libraries, you can request a Kraft Great Kids Museum Passport good for free family admission to the Art Institute. It's just like checking out a book, so don't forget to return it after you visit!
Curious Corner

Children (ages 3–12) can learn about art through dynamic and entertaining interactive stories and games. It’s a great way to enrich your visit to the museum.
Ryan Education Center

The Ryan Education Center is always free. Make art, read picture books, or see family exhibitions.
