Recent Acquisitions of Asian Art

Overview: This exhibition features some of the most exciting new acquisitions made by the Asian art department over the last couple of years. An endearing 18th-century hanging scroll by renowned painter Ike Taiga (1723-1776) showing pilgrims visiting a nun, and a Korean folk painting of two vigorous carp will be among the works on display. Paintings, sculpture, and ceramics from China, India, and Southeast Asia round out the select group of artworks.
