Road Scholar
The Art Institute of Chicago hosts one of the longest-running and most popular Road Scholar programs, offering educational adventures of the Art Institute's collection, exhibitions, and museum practices. Whether you're an out-of-town visitor or a Chicagoland resident, the Road Scholar at the Art Institute is the perfect discovery for art lovers!
Art Insights
Art Insights brings slide talks to senior centers, senior groups, senior residences, and nursing homes. This free program provides a historical and enlightening experience for Chicago-area seniors unable to visit the Art Institute.
Senior Celebrations
Senior Celebrations, a free daylong festival at the Art Institute, is held annually in September. The day includes presentations, short talks in the galleries, a drop-in sketch class, music, and art demonstrations.
Signed Interpretations and Escorts for the Blind
As part of its commitment to accessibility for all audiences, the Art Institute is pleased to provide American Sign Language interpretation for visitors with hearing impairments and complimentary guided tours for visitors with visual impairments.
