Making luminous photographs that reveal grace in the intimate space of the home, Angela Strassheim is represented in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum and Walker Art Center in addition to the Art Institute.
She will observe and photograph your family as everyday life unfolds in the domestic setting of your choice.
Artist’s Terms and Conditions: : The artist requests ample time with the purchaser’s family in order to observe a variety of domestic interactions. Ideally, the artist might stay in the purchaser’s home for one night of the shoot. The artist will show the purchaser the best image from a selection of at least three different scenarios that are photographed, from which the purchaser will select the one final print. The purchaser agrees to cover per diems and hotel accommodation (maximum of two nights) for both the photographer and the photographer’s assistant. This lot includes two round-trip domestic first class tickets for the photographer and the photographer's assistant courtesy of United Airlines. These tickets expire May 31, 2012. If the shoot falls after this expiration date, the purchaser agrees to cover domestic business-class airfare for both the photographer and the photographer’s assistant. The purchaser agrees to pay the daily rate for the photographer’s assistant for the day of the shoot (approximately $500). The purchaser agrees to pay all post-production, printing, mounting, and framing costs for the final print (approximately $3,000). Additional prints can be purchased from the photographer for the cost of the post-production and framing costs.
Final Product: The final product that the purchaser will receive is an archival pigment print, the first in an edition of eight. The size of the final product will be determined by the artist after the sitting (approximate range: 30 x 40 inches to 40 x 50 inches).
