Lot 1: Robert Polidori

Robert Polidori One of the world's most celebrated photographers of human environments, Robert Polidori has won the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography (twice) and the World Press Award. His photographs of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina were featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2006.

He will photograph the architectural interior of your choice.

Artist’s Terms and Conditions: The interior of the purchaser’s choosing will be photographed without person or persons present. The artist will show the purchaser a selection of approximately five photographs, from which the purchaser will select the one resulting print. The purchaser agrees to cover domestic business-class airfare, per diems, and hotel accommodation (maximum of two nights) for both the photographer and the photographer’s assistant. The purchaser agrees to pay the daily rate for the photographer’s assistant for the day of the shoot (approximately $200). The purchaser agrees to pay all post-production, printing, and mounting costs for the final print (approximately $1,200). The session must take place before March 22, 2013, at a time mutually agreeable to the photographer and the purchaser.

Final Product: The final product that the purchaser will receive is an Epson archive inkjet print mounted to Dibond, first of a yet to be determined edition. The size of the final product will be determined by the artist after the session (approximately 50 x 60 inches).

Estimate: $15,000–$20,000
