  • Tickets are dated and timed and required for admission.
  • Ticket price allows entry to both Edward Hopper and Watercolors by Winslow Homer: The Color of Light and includes general admission to museum.
  • Admission price to exhibitions remains the same for Target Free Evenings.
  • Audio tours may be pre-purchased with any exhibition ticket.
  • The last entry into the exhibition is 45 minutes before the museum closes.
  • There is no re-entry into the exhibitions once a visitor has left the last gallery.

PLEASE NOTE: The first hour of every day is member-only viewing. Monday–Friday, 10:30–11:30, and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00–11:00, members may view the exhibition before it opens to the public.

Audio Tour

A 60-minute audio tour that features both Watercolors by Winslow Homer and Edward Hopper is available (25–30 minutes per each exhibition). The audio tour may be purchased with a ticket in advance by phone, at any admission counter, on the Internet, or at any Illinois Ticketmaster Ticket Center.

Members and SAIC students: $5

Admission counters accept cash or credit cards for the purchase of an exhibition ticket with an audio tour. The audio tour is also available “day of” at the audio desk in the Michigan Avenue lobby or at the exhibition entrance.

The recorded tour is free to visually impaired visitors, and an enlarged-type transcript of the tour is available for hearing-impaired visitors.

Dining in the Museum

Enjoy a served lunch featuring seasonal flavors in the Garden Restaurant, open 11:30–3:00 daily, closed holidays. The Café is open every day until one hour before museum closing, offering a variety of food, including soups, deli sandwiches, carved meats, pizza, salad, and desserts, in a casual environment.

The Museum Shop

The Museum Shop offers a selection of products related to the exhibition. The shop is located in the Michigan Avenue lobby, and a special shop annex is located near the exhibition.
