About this artwork

Carlo Bugatti’s strikingly original furniture relies on a combination of unorthodox materials and imaginative and Near and Far Eastern motifs. His eclecticism, use of complex construction methods, and individuality were recognized with a diploma of honor at the influential First International Exposition of Modern Decorative Arts in Turin in 1902.
