About this artwork

Seymour Rosofsky was among the first generation of post–World War II SAIC graduates and was linked to the Monster Roster group. Using Chicago as a constant backdrop in his compositions, he created a body of work that is largely autobiographical. He was a dedicated printmaker and made dozens of lithographs, often printing them himself.
