Marcel Wanders is known for creating projects that synthesize the historical and the contemporary with the handcrafted and the industrial, often with humorous results. Made from an enlarged three-dimensional digital recording of a human sneeze, this vase was constructed from layers of polyamide powder fused together by heat from a laser beam using rapid prototyping technology. Holes were added to the design to hold flowers.
