Teacher Manual: Gustave Caillebotte and the City in Art
This teachers' manual was created to complement Gustave Caillebotte: Urban Impressionist, a retrospective exhibition held at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1995. The manual analyzes the political, social, and artistic developments which affected and were in turn affected by the rise of modern Paris and of modern Chicago at the same time. The manual consists of an essay, classroom suggestions, bibliography, glossary and slide list. (©1994)
