Teacher Program Jeff Wall
In this three-day course, teachers will learn about contemporary photographers who use digital technology in their art and explore innovative ways to use digital images in the classroom. Vancouver-based artist Jeff Wall uses state-of-the-art photographic and computer technology to make giant color photographs that evoke the composition, scale, and ambition of the grandest history paintings. We will use works in the special exhibition Jeff Wall to stimulate discussion about how and why photographers digitally alter their images. This course will also include a visit to the Art Institute’s Photography Study Room and the chance to create your own digital art project. Meets Illinois State Goals in Social Science and Fine Arts.
